Dear open mind:
Remember me? A conscience rid of spider webs and ghost stories, of nights that consisted of nothing but anxiety about your place, your purpose and most importantly yourself in this new world. Hello. You’ve been quiet. I get that. Too wrapped up to find space for air, to take that breath to a voice and say “I’ve made mistakes.” And just fucking breathe. To live above your pride, as tall as the stories it tells and believe that you are not defined by the wrong that you’ve done. To focus solely on the fight to break through habits brought on by uncontrollable circumstances. To be your true self. Resist the desire to give up and be swallowed by the vices that are easy to get swallowed by and know that you are going to be fine. You are fine. That regardless of your toxic perceptions; you are not a ghost
